A little bit about me...
Meet Louisa
Hello! I am Louisa Scarr an Integrative Counsellor practising in the picturesque market town of Alresford, Hampshire. I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through their personal journeys’ within the NHS, charitable settings and in treatment centres. As a registered member of both the BACP and NCPS, I’m committed to working within their ethical frameworks, to give you a safe and confidential space.
My approach is truly integrative: I start from a Person-Centered foundation, then draw on Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Emotion-Focused Therapy and the Minnesota Model. Together, we’ll tailor each session—whether short-term or open-ended—to meet your unique needs. You can choose to meet me face to face-in my cosy Alresford practice or online, whichever feels most comfortable for you.
I aim to empower you to express what’s on your mind, work through challenges and discover your own strengths. I’m passionate about ongoing learning—regular professional development and supervision ensure I bring the most current, ethical practice to our work together. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward greater wellbeing.
